1. Prime for Perfection (Recommended): For optimal contrast, prime your miniature with a light-colored spray like white, light grey, or cream. The markers have high adhesion and can be used directly, but priming maximizes the effect.
2. Shake & Activate: Shake the marker vigorously. Remove the safety cap from the end and press the button while holding the tip over a cloth/paper until the brush is saturated with paint.
3. Apply Paint: Use the brush tip like a traditional brush, maintaining a single stroke direction. The paint will flow into recesses, creating darker shadows and leaving raised areas lighter.
4. Allow to Dry & Enhance: Let the paint dry completely. You can then leave it as is, apply a second coat for opacity, or add precise details, highlights, and weathering with fine brushes and other paints.

Pro Tip: You can mix colors! Press the button to drop paint into a palette, mix, and use the mixture to paint with a brush or re-load a marker tip for custom blends and smooth transitions.

While perfect for single-coat contrast, these markers enable more advanced work:

• Color Modulation: Use two shades of the same color (e.g., light and dark brown) to paint different areas of a volume (like fur), instantly increasing visual depth.
• Layering & Glazing: Apply a second coat, either with the same color for more coverage or a different one to create new tones and shades.
• Detailing with Other Paints: Use the markers for the main contrast base, then switch to fine-brush acrylics (like AK's 3GEN) for precise details like eyes, gems, and extreme highlights.

• Cleaning: After use, gently wipe the tip on a damp cloth. To deep clean, dip the tip in water like a brush and wipe until it returns to its original color—this prevents color contamination when mixing.
• Storage: Always recap tightly after use. For best results, store horizontally to keep the tip naturally hydrated. Can also be stored vertically.
• Long-term Care: If inactive for a long time, shake vigorously before use. You may need to press the button to restart paint flow if stored vertically.
